The mission of the Friends of the National Monument to the Forefathers is to help maintain and enhance memorials to our nation's Pilgrim founders, particularly the Forefathers Monument through research, advocacy, demonstration projects and an ongoing public information campaign.  The Friends will keep faith with our Pilgrim founders by striving to make all Americans more aware of four Pilgrim virtues... Liberty ~ Morality ~ Law ~ Education

The Friends group is a Public/Private Partnership with the Department of Conservation and Recreation to advocate with the Commonwealth and with the Private Sector to raise funds to continue the daunting task of restoring the Monument to its former glory and prominence.
                                                  
Individuals, foundations, corporations and the Commonwealth have made donations.  Local school children held a fundraising walk, others helped illustrate a children’s book about the monument and a third grader wrote, “Education is sitting in her chair to remind students to sit in our chairs so we can learn about the Pilgrims.
